State Route 172 to be Closed East of New Garden Next Tuesday for Culvert Replacement
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 172 will be closed to traffic next Tuesday, July 21, 2009, weather permitting, east of New Garden in Columbiana County for a culvert replacement.
Traffic will be detoured from the intersection of SR 172 and U.S. Route 30, west on U.S. 30 to SR 9 north back to SR 172, and reverse.
ODOT's maintenance forces only expect this work to take one day to complete.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
