Work begins to repair State Route 213 slip that closed road in June
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, July 14, 2015) – Repairs are beginning to the slip that closed State Route 213 between Alikanna and State Route 152 in Jefferson County on June 22, 2015.
ODOT’s contractor, Alan Stone Co. Inc., from Cutler, Ohio, started work last week to construct a 400-foot, long H-pile and lagging retaining wall estimated to cost over $810,000.
Traffic will continue to be detoured on SR 7 north to SR 152 west back to SR 213, and reverse during construction. Officials anticipate the roadway being reopened by mid-October.
