Start Date for Park and Ride Construction Delayed
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, July 15, 2013) – Work did not begin today as scheduled on two Park and Ride Facilities just north of Steubenville in Jefferson County.
The start date has been postponed until August 19th due to material delays.
One existing Park and Ride located at the intersection of U.S. Route 22, State Route 7 and State Route 213 will be expanded to include a total of 46 spaces, and a new lot will be constructed across the street in the same general area that will hold approximately 30 vehicles.
ODOT’s contractor, Shelly & Sands Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, will begin work on the new lot first to minimize disruptions for patrons.
All work on this $458,454 project is expected to be completed by mid-November.
