Intersection improvement project to begin in Washingtonville
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, July 17, 2013) – Work is set to begin Monday, July 22nd, on a $900,000 intersection improvement project in the village of Washingtonville, Columbiana County.
The intersection of East Street and Washingtonville Rd. will be realigned to match at State Route 14, and SR 14 will be widened to provide turn lanes and a new traffic signal. New sidewalks will also be constructed within the project.
Traffic will be maintained in two, 10-foot lanes during construction.
ODOT’s contractor for this project is R T Vernal Paving Co. Inc., from North Lima, Ohio. All work is expected to be completed by the spring of 2014.
