restrictions expected this week on westbound I-70
BELMONT COUNTY – Starting tonight, Interstate
70 westbound will be reduced to one lane from 7 PM until 9 AM tomorrow morning at
the $19.5 million, State Route 331 Interchange improvement project.
will be moved onto the new bridge to begin demolition of the westbound I-70
passing lane bridge.
Seeding work will also take place
Wednesday night, July 19th, from 7 PM until 9 AM, reducing westbound
I-70 to one lane.
Two lanes of traffic will remain in
ODOT’s contractor, Shelly & Sands
Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, began work in
April of last year on this major interchange improvement project intended to reduce congestion and improve safety. The current completion
date for all work is July 31, 2018.
