State Route 9 to be closed for additional 10 days due to material delays
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, July 18, 2012) – State Route 9 will be closed for an additional 10 days in Augusta Township, Carroll County due to material delays for a bridge repair project.
The roadway was closed to traffic last Monday, July 9th, about 4 ½ miles north of SR 171 near Augusta. Beginning at the intersection of U.S. 30 and SR 9, traffic is being detoured west on U.S. 30 to SR 183 south to SR 43 south to SR 171 east back to SR 9, and reverse.
With the exception of this road closure, traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $170,000 project is Cross Roads Construction Inc., from Cambridge, Ohio. All work should be completed this year.
