State Route 179 to be Restricted Next Week Northwest of Nashville for Multiple Culvert Replacements
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, July 27th, to replace three culverts under State Route 179 located just north of State Route 39 and northwest of Nashville in Holmes County.
Two-way traffic will be maintained on one, 11-foot lane with temporary traffic signals.
ODOT’s contractor for this $568,000 project is V O Menuez & Son Inc., from Millersburg, Ohio, and the completion date is mid-Novemeber, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
