Interstate 70 to be Restricted Sunday Near Exit 218/Mall Road for Utility Work
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --Interstate 70 will be restricted Sunday morning, July 27, 2008, near Exit 218/Mall Road in Belmont County, while American Electric Power (AEP) installs new cables across the highway.
AEP will be performing this work between 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Traffic will be stopped briefly in both directions between these hours.
Motorists are urged to use caution and be prepared for slight delays.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
