State Route 93 to be Closed Next Week at the Tuscarawas/Coshocton County Line
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 93 will be closed to traffic next Tuesday, July 28th, west of Baltic at the Tuscarawas/Coshocton County line for the replacement of two culverts.
ODOT's maintenance crews will be replacing both culverts in preparation for resurfacing work scheduled for next summer. The road is expected to be closed around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning and reopen by 3 p.m. Thursday, July 30th.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 93 and U.S. Route 36, traffic will be detoured west on U.S. 36 to SR 83 north to SR 643, then northeast on SR 643 to SR 651 east back to SR 93, and reverse.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
