State Route 520 to be closed in Holmes County for culvert replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, July 22, 2010) – State Route 520 will be closed to traffic about four miles west of U.S. Route 62 in Holmes County on Monday, August 2nd, for a culvert replacement project.
The roadway will only be closed for seven days. During that time, traffic will be detoured north on SR 514 to SR 39 in Nashville, then east on SR 39 to SR 60 south to U.S. 62 west back to SR 520, and reverse.
ODOT's contractor for this $214,864 project is Page Excavating Inc., from Lucas, Ohio, and the completion date is September 30, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
