ODOT partners with Walmart to make driveway repairs
Calcutta Walmart entrance off Dresden Avenue to be closed next week
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Friday, July 23, 2010) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 and Walmart are partnering to make needed pavement repairs to the Calcutta Walmart entrance off Dresden Avenue in Columbiana County next week.
Begininng Tuesday night, July 27th, after 7 p.m. the lower south entrance to Walmart from Dresden Avenue will be closed for 36 hours. During this work, there will be no entrance or exit from the south driveway to Walmart.
Walmart's contractor will be performing the repairs, and ODOT will be assisting with the lane closures and maintenance of traffic.
Motorisists and Walmart customers are asked to use caution through this area during this work.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
