Resurfacing Work to Begin on State Route 754
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work Monday, August 3rd, to resurface over six miles of State Route 754 in Holmes County.
SR 754 will be resurfaced from just north of SR 39 to the junction of SR 514. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $892,865 project is Melway Paving Co. Inc., from Holmesville, Ohio, and the completion date is August 31, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
