Resurfacing Work to Begin Next Week on U.S. Route 62 in Columbiana County
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) -- The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, August 4th, to resurface about five miles of U.S. Route 62 in Columbiana County.
U.S. 62 will be resurfaced from the Stark County line (Alliance corp. limit) to the junction of State Route 165.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $1.5 million project is Central-Allied Enterprises Inc., from Canton, Ohio, and the completion date is August 30, 2008.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
