State Route 171 to be Closed in Carroll County for Culvert Replacement
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 171 will be closed to traffic Wednesday, August 12, 2009, for a culvert replacement in Carroll County.
ODOT's maintenance crew will be replacing a culvert between New Harrisburg and the junction of SR 43.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 171 and SR 43, traffic will be detoured north on SR 43 to SR 183, then west on SR 183 back to SR 171, and reverse.
This work is expected to take two days to complete.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
