State Route 7 off ramp at Shadyside to be closed Monday for resurfacing project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Friday, August 2, 2013) – The State Route 7 southbound off ramp into Shadyside will be closed Monday, August 5th, as part of the ongoing $3.2 million resurfacing project.
The ramp on the north end of Shadyside will be closed Monday only between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., while ODOT’s contractor mills the shoulder along the ramp and fills with asphalt. It’s considered the first Shadyside exit when traveling southbound.
Traffic will be routed south on SR 7 to the next exit on the south end of Shadyside and then back north on Central Avenue into Shadyside.
Work began in April to resurface SR 7 from the south end of Shadyside to Bellaire in Belmont County. One lane of traffic is being maintained in each direction on SR 7.
ODOT’s contractor is Lash Paving Inc., from Colerain, Ohio. All work on the project is expected to be completed by this fall.
