Work Begins on Main Street Bridge Replacement in Adena
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --Work began last week to replace the Main Street (County Road 41) bridge over Short Creek in the village of Adena, Harrison County.
One lane of traffic will be maintained with flaggers until temporary signals are activated next Monday, August 10th. At that time, two-way traffic will be maintained in one lane with signals, but Township Road 82 (Miric's Ridge Road) will be closed.
Minimal impacts to traffic are expected.
ODOT’s contractor for this $716,818 project is BOG Construction Inc., from Berlin Center, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
