U.S. Route 36 to be Restricted Near Uhrichsville Next Week for Bridge Painting
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, August 11th, to paint bridges on U.S. Route 36 near Uhrichsville in Tuscarawas County.
ODOT’s contractor, APBN Inc., from Campbell, Ohio, will be mobilizing equipment this week, so they may begin work next week on the U.S. 36 bridges between the Trenton Avenue and Water Street exits.
One, 12-foot lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.
The completion date for this $510,501 project is June 30, 2009; however, officials anticipate this work being completed this year.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
