State Route 9 Near Cadiz Will Reopen Later Today
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 9 near Cadiz in Harrison County will be reopened to traffic by 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.
SR 9 has been closed since July 14, 2008, as part of the Industrial Park Road (County Road 29) reconstruction project. About a quarter mile of SR 9 has been reconstructed as well as its intersection with CR 29 to improve the vertical alignment of the roadway.
CR 29 will remain closed for approximately two more weeks. However, businesses located on CR 29 will continue to have access from U.S. Route 22.
ODOT’s contractor for this $3.7 million project is Shelly & Sands, Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, and the completion date is August 31, 2008.
