State Route 26 to be closed next week for culvert replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, August 04, 2014) – Beginning next Monday, August 11th, State Route 26 will be closed in Belmont County for seven days about four miles north of the Monroe County line for a culvert replacement project.
Traffic will be detoured from the intersection of SR 148 and SR 26 east on SR 148 to SR 145, then south on SR 145 to SR 26, and reverse.
This work is part of a $486,000 districtwide culvert replacement project, including four locations in Holmes County and one in Columbiana County. ODOT’s contractor is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, and the completion date for the entire project is October 2014.
