Motorists Should Expect Delays Next Tuesday on State Route 7 for Work at the W.H. Sammis Plant
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --Motorists should expect delays next Tuesday, August 12th, on State Route 7 in Stratton, Jefferson County, as part of FirstEnergy's environmental control retrofit construction project underway at the company's W. H. Sammis Plant.
SR 7 traffic will be stopped various times between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. while crews transports three scrubber rings for the project from barges located along SR 7 at the plant.
Motorists should expect short delays of approximately 15 minutes each. The roadway could be closed up to six different times. Therefore, officials are encouraging motorists to use an alternate route to avoid delays and traffic backups associated with this work.
