Intersection improvement project to begin in Carroll County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, August 08, 2016) – Work is expected to get started next Monday, August 15th, to improve the intersection of State Route 43 (Canton Rd.), State Route 183 (Alliance Rd.), and County Road 81 (Coral Rd.) near Malvern in Carroll County.
Traffic will be maintained during construction.
Work includes construction of an exclusive northbound right-turn lane on SR 43 and reconstruction of the traffic island on Coral Road as well as the replacement of the existing traffic signals and highway lighting. New warning signs, guardrail, and pavement markings will also be installed.
ODOT’s contractor for this $605,000 project is Central-Allied Enterprises Inc., from Canton, Ohio, and the completion date is June 30, 2017.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
