Interstate 77 southbound to be restricted at weigh station near Bolivar Exit tomorrow
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, August 10, 2010) – As part of the weigh station closures along Interstate 77 near Bolivar in Tuscarawas County, I-77 southbound will be reduced to one lane tomorrow for removal of the overhead PrePass monitor and associated signage for the nation's weigh station bypass system.
The southbound travel lane just south of Exit 93 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane of traffic will be maintained in the passing lane, and the northbound lanes will not be affected.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
