Spot paving work to take place across eastern Ohio counties
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, August 10, 2016) – Spot paving work is set to begin next week across four eastern Ohio counties, including: Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson, and Tuscarawas.
Work will include various sections on multiple state routes, including:
- SR 148 and SR 800 in Belmont County
- SR 9, SR 151, US 250, SR 258, SR 342, and SR 799 in Harrison County
- SR 151 and SR 152 in Jefferson County
- And, US 36 and US 250 in Tuscarawas County
Work is expected to start Monday, August 15th, on SR 151 and SR 152 in Jefferson County.
Traffic will be maintained.
ODOT’s contractor for this $941,000 project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2016.
The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state's largest man-made asset – the transportation system. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
