U.S. Route 250 to be Closed in Strasburg for Culvert Replacement
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 has begun work to replace a culvert on U.S. Route 250 located just north of 12th Street in the village of Strasburg, Tuscarawas County.
Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, August 22nd, U.S. 250 will be closed to traffic until 12 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2008. Beginning at the intersection of U.S. 250 and SR 21, traffic will be detoured north on SR 21 to U.S. 30 in Massillon, then east on U.S. 30 to Interstate 77 south in Canton back to U.S. 250, and reverse.
ODOT District 11 Deputy Director Dick Bible, P.E. said, "To minimize the inconvenience of this work, we’ve limited the road closure to a weekend."
ODOT’s contractor for this $175,656 project is Stanley Miller Construction Company, East Sparta, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2008.
