Work to begin next week on safety improvements to Interstate 70 Westbound Exit Ramp at Ohio Valley Mall
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, August 14, 2012) – The Interstate 70 westbound exit ramp at the Ohio Valley Mall will be restricted, beginning Monday, August 20th, for safety improvements.
The westbound off-ramp will be widened to increase capacity, and the traffic signals will be upgraded and interconnected to provide better coordination on Mall Road and U.S. Route 40.
Traffic will be maintained during construction.
Ramp work should be completed in October 2012, and all work should be completed by December 2012.
ODOT’s contractor for this $880,515 project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio.
