Resurfacing to Begin Next Week in East Palestine
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next week to resurface Park Avenue and Rebecca Street in the city of East Palestine, Columbiana County.
Beginning Tuesday, September 2nd, Park Avenue/Rebecca Street will be resurfaced from the junction of Brookdale and Main Streets to the junction of Taggart.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $618,417 project is Karvo Paving Company, from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2008.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
