Work to Begin on State Route 164 Bridge West of Kilgore
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work September 1st, to rehabilitate a bridge on State Route 164 over Dining Fork Creek located about three miles west of State Route 9 at Kilgore in Carroll County.
Work will include the replacement of the deck and approach slabs and repair of the substructure.
Alternating, one-way traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals.
ODOT’s contractor for this $366,000 project is BOG Construction Inc., from Berlin Center, Ohio, and the completion date is October 30, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
