Spot paving work to take place in four eastern Ohio counties

New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, August 27, 2014)Spot paving work is set to begin next month on small sections of roads across four eastern Ohio counties, including Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, and Jefferson.
Below is the tentative schedule, weather permitting.
Week of Sept. 8:
·         Belmont County
o    SR 9, three locations north of Armstrong Mills
o    U.S. 40, four locations between Lansing and Brookside
Week of Sept. 15:
·         Belmont County
o    I-70 WB, four locations between Mall Rd. and Banfield Rd. Exits
o    I-70 EB, one location just east of Banfield Rd. and one just east of I-470
o    SR 149, between Warnock and Glencoe
o    SR 872 (Moundsville Bridge) ramp
Week of Sept. 22:
·         Carroll County 
o    SR 39, near Mechanicstown
o    SR 164, four locations east of Perrysville
Week of Sept. 29:
·         Carroll County 
o    SR 332, near the Harrison County line
o    SR 524, near the Jefferson County line
·         Columbiana County
o    SR 558, west of East Fairfield
Week of Oct. 6:
·         Harrison County
o    U.S. 22, west of Industrial Park Rd.
·         Jefferson County
o    SR 7, south of Empire
o    SR 7, north of Stratton
o    SR 7, near SR 213 at Yellow Creek
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $779,920 project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Rayland, Ohio. All work will be completed by mid-November 2014.
