County Road 29 (Industrial Park Road) Reopened Today Near Cadiz
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --County Road 29 (Industrial Park Road) near Cadiz in Harrison County was reopened about 7 a.m. this morning. It has been closed since late April while its been reconstructed to provide a more stable base, improved drainage, wider roadway, and new pavement.
Less than a quarter of a mile of State Route 9 was also reconstructed at its intersection with CR 29 to improve the vertical alignment of the roadway.
Some work remains on the $3.7 million project that began in May 2007, including some widening, the final course of asphalt, signing, and seeding.
All work is expected to be completed, weather permitting, in October.
ODOT’s contractor on this project is Shelly & Sands, Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio.
