Resurfacing work to begin next week around village of Carrollton
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, September 13, 2010) – Over three miles of resurfacing work is set to begin next Monday, September 20th, an area roads around the village of Carrollton in Carroll County.
State Route 9 will be resurfaced from Carrollton's south corp. line to Brenner Road. SR 39 will be resurfaced from the junction of SR 43 to the junction of SR 332 and SR 9. SR 43 will be resurfaced from the Dairy Queen to the junction of SR 39, and SR 332 will be resurfaced at the square. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT's contractor for this $582,000 project is Superior Paving & Materials Inc., from North Canton, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
