State Route 150 to be Closed East of Dillonvale for Roadway Reconstruction
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 150 will be closed to traffic for seven days between Dillonvale and Rayland in Jefferson County, beginning Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, for a slip repair.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 began work last fall to repair uphill and downhill slips along SR 150 just east of Township Road 114.
ODOT's contractor, Shelly & Sands Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, will reconstruct the roadway during this closure.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 7 and SR 150 in Rayland, traffic will be detoured north on SR 7 to the SR 151 Interchange, then west on SR 151 to SR 152 south back to SR 150 and reverse.
The completion date for this $3.5 million project mid-November 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
