Holmes County photo featured in national competition; needs your vote
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, September 17, 2013) – The ninth annual Faces of Transportation photography contest by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials is underway and features a photo from ODOT Holmes County this year.
The public is encouraged to select their favorite photograph from among 121 images being judged in three categories: "Building the Future," "Opening Communities," and "Taking the Road Less Traveled." Each photograph represents the positive effects of transportation on individuals and/or communities.
Voting began Sept. 10th and runs just through Friday, Sept. 20. The photograph receiving the highest number of online votes will receive the People's Choice Award, and a $500 cash prize will be awarded to the photographer.
The People's Choice Award winner and the recipient of this year's Faces of Transportation Grand Prize Award will be announced on Sept. 25.
