Work begins on State Route 9 slide repair project in Jewett
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, September 17, 2013) – Work is getting underway this week to repair a landslide along State Route 9/State Route 151 (Jewett Scio Rd.) near Vale Rd. in Jewett, Harrison County.
Traffic is currently being maintained with flaggers; however, it will be reduced to one, 12-foot lane with traffic signals in the next two weeks.
ODOT’s contractor for this $957,885 project is BBR Drilling Company Inc., from Belmont, Ohio.
All work will be completed by June 2014; however, officials expect the road to be reopened to two-way traffic this year.
