Spot paving work to restrict I-70 around Banfield Rd. Exits
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, September 24, 2014) – Interstate 70 westbound will be restricted in four locations between the Mall Rd. and Banfield Rd. Exits this Friday, September 26th, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of a $779,920, multi-county spot paving project.
Eastbound I-70 traffic will also be restricted Friday just east of I-470.
Additionally, the eastbound on-ramp at Banfield Rd. will be closed Saturday, September 27th, also from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow for this pavement work.
ODOT’s contractor is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Rayland, Ohio, and the completion date is mid-November 2014. This project also includes small sections of roads Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, and Jefferson counties.
