ODOT seeks comments on U.S. Route 22/Township Road 243 improvement project in Harrison County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, September 26, 2013) –The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing improvements to U.S. Route 22 and Township Road 243 near Cadiz in Harrison County.
The project (PID 88923) will include the removal of the existing TR 243 bridge over U.S. 22 and the relocation of TR 243 to intersect Dennison Avenue north of U.S. 22. A new storm sewer will also be installed along the north side of Dennison Ave. and outlet to the creek south of Dennison Ave. approximately 2,000 feet west of U.S. 22. Additionally, a cul-de-sac will be constructed on TR 243 south of U.S. 22.
Traffic will be maintained during construction. The project is scheduled to be constructed during the summer of 2015.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of this proposed project. Environmental impacts include those involving archeological, architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials and the general location of the project.
