(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 518 will be closed next Tuesday, Oct. 6th, 2009, weather permitting, west of West Point in Columbiana County for a culvert replacement.
This work will be performed by ODOT's Columbiana County maintenance forces and is expected to take three days to complete.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 518 and U.S .30, traffic will be detoured west on U.S. 30 to SR 164 in Lisbon, then south on SR 164 back to SR 518, and reverse.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
