Interstate 77 to be restricted between New Philadelphia and Dover for bridge repairs
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, September 29, 2010) – Interstate 77 northbound will be restricted next week between the State Route 39 Interchange at New Philadelphia and just north of the new interchange at County Road 80 near Dover in Tuscarawas County for bridge repair work.
ODOT's maintenance crews will be performing bridge repairs in the northbound travel lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, October 4th through Friday, October 8th. One-lane of traffic will be maintained in the passing lane.
The same work will occur in the southbound travel lane October 12 through October 15.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
