Spot paving work to take place across eastern Ohio counties
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, October 04, 2016) – Spot paving work is set to begin next week across four eastern Ohio counties, including: Carroll, Columbiana, Holmes, and Jefferson.
Work will include various sections on multiple state routes, including:
- SR 39, SR 332, and SR 524 in Carroll County
- SR 46, SR 164, and SR 172 in Columbiana County
- US 62 in Holmes County
- And, SR 524 in Jefferson County
Work is expected to start Monday, October 10th, on the routes in Carroll County.
Traffic will be maintained.
ODOT’s contractor for this $504,485 project is Central-Allied Enterprises Inc., from Canton, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2016.
The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state's largest man-made asset – the transportation system. ODOT's mission is to provide the safe and easy movement of people and goods from place to place. As a $2.8 billion per year enterprise, ODOT invests the bulk of its resources in system preservation through maintenance, construction and snow and ice operations.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
