Klee's Crossing to be Closed Next Monday for Intersection Reconstruction
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --Township Road 476 (Klee's Crossing) will be closed to traffic next Monday, October 12th, for intersection reconstruction with the new alignment of State Route 149 at Bellaire in Belmont County.
Klee's Crossing will be closed for 14 days while this intersection is reconstructed. Beginning at the intersection SR 147 and TR 476, traffic will be detoured east on SR 147 to SR 149, then north on SR 149 back to TR 476, and reverse.
This work is part of the 1.4 mile relocation project that began on SR 149 in July 2008.
ODOT’s contractor for this $6.6 million project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, and the completion date is October 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
