State Route 172 to be closed next week for railroad crossing repair
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, October 06, 2015) – State Route 172 will be closed during daytime hours next Tuesday and Wednesday, October 13th and 14th, just east of New Franklin and the Stark County line for a railroad crossing repair.
Norfolk Southern plans to work between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and expects this work to take two days.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 172 and SR 183, traffic will be detoured south on SR 183 to U.S. Route 30 east to SR 9 north back to SR 172, and reverse.
Motorists are urged to plan ahead to avoid delays.
