State Route 7 ramps at Shadyside to be closed next week for resurfacing project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, October 08, 2013) – The State Route 7 northbound on ramp at the north Central Ave. Interchange on the north end of Shadyside will be closed to traffic next Monday and Tuesday, October 14th and 15th, for shoulder repair work. This is the northbound on ramp leaving Shadyside to merge onto SR 7.
Traffic will be detoured south on Central Ave. through Shadyside to the south interchange of SR 7 and Central Ave., then north on SR 7.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15th and 16th, both the on and off ramps at this same Shadyside interchange will be closed intermittently each day between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for paving work.
Work began on this $3.2 million project in April to resurface SR 7 from the south end of Shadyside to Bellaire in Belmont County.
One lane of traffic is being maintained in each direction on SR 7.
ODOT’s contractor is Lash Paving Inc., from Colerain, Ohio. All work on the project is expected to be completed by this fall.
