Traffic delays expected tomorrow and Wednesday along State Route 7 near Rush Run
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, October 15, 2012) – Some minor traffic delays are expected tomorrow and Wednesday along State Route 7 near Rush Run in Jefferson County as part of the$22 million landslide repair project.
ODOT’s contractor, Beaver Excavating Company, from Canton, Ohio, will be mobilizing heavy equipment to the site this week, causing some minor traffic delays between the late morning and early afternoon hours.
SR 7 has been reduced to one lane in each direction on the northbound side of the highway between Rayland and Brilliant, since a major landslide occurred in March 2011.
The maintenance of traffic currently in place will not change during construction. The work zone will remain the same.
All major work is expected to be completed on this project by the fall of 2013; however, some cleanup work may be required in 2014.
