Route 754 to be restricted for tree trimming work
canopy over roadway and performing right of way maintenance
HOLMES COUNTY – Starting Monday,
November 6th, State Route 754 will be closed during daytime hours, Monday through
Friday, around Paint Valley for tree trimming work.
Between 8:30 AM and 3 PM, SR 754 will be
closed from SR 39 to Township Rd. 506 for tree trimming and vegetation
management work performed by ODOT maintenance forces.
Beginning at the intersection of
SR 39, SR 60 and SR 754, SR 754 traffic will be detoured west on SR 39 to SR
514 in Nashville, then north on SR 514 back to SR 754, and reverse.
ODOT’s Holmes County crew will be
using a “SkyTrim” unit for canopy removal and right of way clearing and
maintenance. Work will be completed by Friday, November 10th.
Motorists should plan ahead to avoid delays.

Lloyd MacAdam said, “Clearing
overhead canopy from our roads improves our pavement longevity and increases
motorist safety in the winter.”
