State Route 7 northbound to be restricted next week in Martins Ferry
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, October 27, 2014) – State Route 7 northbound will be reduced to one lane next week in Martins Ferry for construction of a retaining wall.
ODOT’s maintenance crew will begin drilling for a retaining wall Monday, November 3rd, between 5th Street and Mackey Avenue. One lane of traffic will be maintained.
This work is only expected to take five days.
This section of SR 7 was reduced to one lane in late September due to a slip and pavement cracking. This drilled shaft retaining wall should stop future slipping of the embankment.
