State Route 7 ramp from Veterans Memorial Bridge to be closed Saturday for paving
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, October 27, 2015) – The State Route 7 southbound ramp from the Veterans Memorial Bridge at Steubenville in Jefferson County will be closed this Saturday, October 31st, to perform partial depth repairs and paving.
This is part of the ongoing $3.9 million resurfacing project that began in late May and included concrete joint repairs, full-depth concrete pavement repairs, and barrier wall replacement.
Traffic will be detoured north on SR 7 after the Veterans Memorial Bridge to westbound U.S. Route 22 to the John Scott Exit to eastbound U.S. 22 which merges with southbound SR 7.
Congestion is likely, so motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use an alternate route to avoid delays. Officials expect to start work early in the morning and be finished by early afternoon.
ODOT’s contractor is Shelly & Sands, Inc., from Columbus, Ohio.
