State Route 520 to be closed in Holmes County for culvert replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, November 2, 2010) – State Route 520 will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, November 16th, for a culvert replacement about four miles north of Glenmont in Holmes County.
ODOT's maintenance crews will be replacing the culvert between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Work is expected to take two days to complete; however, the roadway will only be closed during daylight hours.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 520 and SR 514, traffic will be detoured north on SR 514 to SR 39 in Nashville, then east on SR 39 to SR 60 south to U.S. 62 west back to SR 520, and reverse.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
