Interstate 77 southbound ramps at Stone Creek to be closed next week
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, November 10, 2010) – The Interstate 77 southbound exit and entrance ramps at Stone Creek in Tuscarawas County will be closed for intersection repairs, beginning next Monday morning, November 15th, 2010.
This work is part of the $2.7 million State Route 751 bridge replacement project over the highway.
Motorists should plan ahead to use an alternate route to avoid delays.
Officials anticipate completing this work and reopening the ramps by Friday, November 19th.
ODOT's contractor for this project is Dennison Bridge Inc., from Dennison, Ohio, and the completion date is June 15, 2011.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
