I-70 westbound to be restricted at Commons Mall Crossing project
BELMONT COUNTY – ODOT’s contractor,
Shelly & Sands Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, will be pouring the new bridge
deck over the interstate this week at the $10.3 million Commons Mall Crossing
project in St. Clairsville.
Starting at 3:30 PM on Thursday
afternoon, November 16th, the Interstate 70 westbound on-ramp will
be shortened, and at 8 PM I-70 westbound will be reduced to one lane. The pour
is expected to last 12 hours, and traffic restrictions removed before 7 AM on
Friday, November 17th.

roadway west of Mall Road, reconstruct a portion of the existing Mall Ring Road, and construct a new bridge over I-70 to the
Commons Mall Crossing Road which connects to U.S. Route 40.
completion date for this entire job intended to relieve congestion and improve
safety at the Mall Road intersections as well as increase economic development
opportunities in the area is set for October 31, 2018.
