State Route 516 closed at Dover due to pond collapse
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, November 28, 2012) – State Route 516 is closed between Bair Rd. and Josephine St. at Dover due to a pond collapse adjacent to the roadway.
ODOT District 11 Deputy Director Lloyd MacAdam said, “A section of SR 516 has eroded due to the pond failure. Our engineers are currently reviewing the extent of damage to the roadway to determine necessary repairs.”
Traffic is being detoured on SR 39 and SR 93; however, motorists are urged to plan ahead to avoid delays.
The roadway will remain closed indefinitely.
