ODOT seeks comments on U.S. Route 250 retaining wall installation in Belmont County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, November 29, 2010) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing the installation of a soldier pile and lagging retaining wall along U.S. Route 250 in Pease Township near Sunset Heights in Belmont County.
Additionally, the roadway will be resurfaced in the immediate vicinity of the project. One-lane of traffic will be maintained during construction which is anticipated to begin next summer.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include impacts associated with architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials, and the general location of the project.
